About the programme

F1rst is organizing a conference on Processed Indian Traditional Foods in New Delhi on Friday - 18th of November, 2022. The conference aims to bring together all the industry groups related to the Indian food processing industry, not only from India but also from various parts of the globe. This is a platform to discuss, share and learn how Traditional Indian Food is adapting to innovative food processing technologies and how the market for processed foods is changing is India. The food processing industry in India is a sunrise sector, bridging the vital gap between industry and agriculture. This industry is progressively getting the due it deserves from the government.

He is currently working as Scientist ‘F’ and Head of Fruits and Vegetables Technology Division at Defence Food Research Laboratory, Mysore, India. Dr. Chauhan holds M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Food Technology. He is Life Member of Association of Food Scientists and Technologists (India), Nutrition Society of India and Indian Science Congress.

Dr. Om Prakash received honors includes Bioved Fellowship Award, Dr JS Pruthi Award, Best Postharvest Technology Innovation Award, Young Scientist Award, and Technology Group Award and many others. He is member of editorial board in many journals, and referee in various national and international journals.
